A Nativity Scene / A Nativity Sin

While I was reading an old issue of the Philippine Daily Inquirer last night, I read Conrado de Quiros's (all hail!) comments about the picture published in the front page of the November 27 issue. According to him, someone definitely does not belong in this nativity scene, for she totally belongs to that other Biblical scene involving Adam, Eve and the Snake (it's not that hard to guess who the snake is). I beg to disagree, however. This may not be the perfect nativity scene depicting Christ's birth, but it sure is a good one nonetheless; in fact, GMA fits the scene very well that she's even comfortable with her role (look at her smile; kinda reminds me of Shrek's annoyingly noisy yet loveable buddy Donkey; only thing is, this woman is anything but lovely): here you have the Savior with his father and mother, a king paying homage to the newborn Christ, and an ASS. She's at her best here, and that is making an ASS of herself. Happy holidays peeps! : )
